This lovely image is the progressive freebie from From The Heart Stamps for this month - Spring Medley. I've printed it onto white linen effect card from The Papermill and coloured it with Promarkers.

Quick Birthday

A cute but quick Birthday card! I've used the Shine image that I bought from From The Heart Stamps - this is a fundraising image too. I've coloured her with Promarkers and used left over papers from Echo Park - Splash.
The pink backing is card from my stash and I printed the sentiment on the pc. I've added stickles around the edges of the image and sentiment but its not shown up too well!

Another busy weekend for us - Christenings and Karting. And all on the same day too!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 63 - Jingle Bells

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge! The theme for the fortnight is Jingle Bells and the sponsor is Funky Hand! I've made a word book using the Christmas Tree wordbook download. I simply printed off the pages I wanted, cut them out and then layered them up. The smaller letters are die cuts using left overs from a previous project using the same papers.

I've added a Sizzix tag die cut and handwrote the sentiment. Bells and ribbon are from my stash. Oh, and lots of glitter glue too (I have lots of different colours so good exuse to use some!)

Good luck with the challenge - don't forget it is a Christmas only challenge!

Classic

Sometimes the new is better than the old, but in this case, old (or rather classic) is much better. And I do think that blue is such a timeless colour. Buy your very own VeeDub for the retro price of 50p in the Dr Digi Store - go on - treat yourself!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and added it over the sentiment I printed on the computer and then layered it up with papers from the Button Babies download from Funky Hand. I added fake tiny brads with a black pen and glossy accents. The black elastic was from a clothes tag.

Gift Bag

Just after Christmas I bought a job lot of white takeaway bags from ebay (I think I got 50) so I have a few to get through. So as the current From The Heart Stamps Sketch challenge had a twist not to make a card, I decided to use one of the bags.

I already had the image coloured from when I found some time on my hands (wish it would happen more often) - its called Mixed Bouquet and I've coloured it with Promarkers. To be honest, its a good job I used it on this bag as I printed the image rather large!

I've used some lilac card from my stash along with papers from Funky Hand - Dreams Come True cd (and if you're quick there is a 50% off sale - so the cd is now only £3.50!!!) I've added some faux stitching and a button from my stash along with embroidery thread bow.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Easter

It's time for the start of a new Polkadoodle challenge - the challenges now run for 2 weeks which gives everyone plenty of time to join in! The theme for the fortnight is: Easter.

I've made these cute little baskets with papers from the Fredericka cd. I printed onto card and then made a simple template, used double sided tape to secure the flaps and then added the cut off of card for the handle.

I've added die cut letters and added stickles over the top. The little sentiment was from the chocolate packaging and I decided to add it! A card cello bag and some organza ribbon and the baskets are complete!

I did add some shredded tissue paper inside the baskets, but the chocolate was a bit too heavy so its rather squashed at the bottom! Good luck with the Polkadoodles challenge!

Citroen

Personally speaking, a good bottle of white and a nice unsharable (apart from the Turkish Delight fillings) box of chocs would be a good choice for a Birthday gift. But then again sometimes life deals you a lemon. A Citroen 2CV is one of those days but in car form.

I've, once again used a cut off from making a square card (plus another of those rather skinny envelopes is a perfect size). Coloured the image with Promarkers, added some off cuts of card and used a Studio G letter stamp for the sentiment.

Chicks

And here is another one from the productive day yesterday! I've had another productive day (although could have done more) and coloured more images ready to turn into cards. This one uses a Tiddly Inks image from a set called For The Birds.

I've got some odd shaped envelopes that kinda need using instead of making the normal square or A6 that I usually use; they are really thin and tall, so the offcuts of card from making a square card are perfect to use and so was this image! I've coloured it with Promarkers and then handwrote the letters.

I also found a strip of printed card in my stash which was perfect colour wise so that got added and because the card blank strip was not long enough, I hung the image over the edge. Bakers twine is from Funky Hand and the cupcake charm is from a rather large batch of charms I bought from ebay over Christmas.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks: Celebrate Spring (can't remember the last time I entered a Tiddly challenge!)

Birthday Chick

Here I am again! I've had a productive craft day today - husband and Samuel were out karting today, using the older engines and trying out some different 'things' to give Samuel more speed. He had a race last weekend and did pretty well despite the grid being huge and he not being used to so many on the track at the same time; he's got a race next weekend and then for the next 6 weekends...... and not all within the North West either. So, its just been me and Jacob today. He's been playing on the pc or wii or watching tv (well, it is the Easter holidays!) and I've been crafting.

Usually, I colour my images and then they sit around sometimes for weeks or months waiting to be made into something. However today, I've coloured and made cards as I've gone along. I've still got a few other projects on the go so been progressing them too - waiting for glue to dry etc.

Anyway, here is a fab From The Heart Stamps image - Birthday Chicks which I've coloured with Promarkers plus a little bit of stickles (I coloured this whilst half watching an old episode of Fraiser!)

Used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on some offcuts of card (same as cardblank) plus bakers twine, ribbon and some half pearls. Plus a bit of stickles. Another card ticked off the card order list!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

From The Heart Stamps: Sketch followed

Jellypark Challenge - Easter

Ok, I'm a day late with this one, but better late than never! Just totally forgot that it was the new Jellypark challenge this week, probably because I made the little pouches ages ago and I gave them my brother a few weeks ago for my two neices - out of sight, out of mind!

Anyway, I made two Easter pouches with Papermill card, cut a scalloped circle with a Spellbinder die and then used the cute Easter Bunny digi, coloured them with Promarkers and added some stickles.

The ribbon is from my stash, and that's it! Good luck with the Jellypark challenge!

It's time for a new Simply Create Too challenge and the theme is No Digis or Stamped Images so, I made a word book! I've used the Retro Fun Wordbook download from Funky Hand, selected the letters I wanted and away I went!

I also used a Sizzix alphabet - Girls are Weird to cut the small letters plus lots of stickles and some ribbon from my stash which was a perfect match! Good luck with the challenge!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 62 - Make A Scene

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge! And the theme this fortnight is Make A Scene. I'm sponsored by Robyns Fetish and here is my creation:

I've used the Christmas Cottage digi, coloured it with Promarkers and then made a snowglobe with a Spellbinder circle die, freehand cutting (for the stand) and acetate. I've also added stickles to the cottage for a bit of sparkle and then stuck it to the acetate with glossy accents around the edges and where the 'snow' is so that it doesn't show up.

Good luck with the challenge!

Handy Man

It's all go at Dr Digi Towers - the handyman is in doing all the odd jobs that Dr Digi just cannot complete. Not that he doesn't know how to complete or want to complete. Or at least that's the story he's giving to Mrs Digi. So in comes Man About The House. Let's hope he knows the difference between a sonic screwdriver and an impact screwdriver....

I've used the fab Polkadoodles Paper Boutique Vol 3 for the tool pack and tools (which can all be removed!) - printed off as A5, cut out and assembled. Man About The House from Dr Digi has been coloured with Promarkers and then attached.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Coffee and Tea

For the times when you need to make a quick card, just because you need to and here is a perfect digi stamp from Funky Hand - I'm A Mug For You - I Like Coffee and its only £1.29!

I've used Promarkers to colour the image and then the papers are all offcuts from making a wordbook with the Funky Daze cd also from Funky Hand - I hate to throw away the cutoffs so I keep them and they are perfect for filling in a background! A bit of doodling around the edges and the added hearts (X cut dies) and the card is finished!

Eggcellent Easter!

Jacob decided Tuesday evening that I'd be able to buy two of his teachers an Easter egg each and that I'd be able to make a card each for them...... So with not much time I managed to whip up these two cuties! I've used a From The Heart Stamps digi but only used part of the image - its called Easter Egg Birdbrains.

I've used Promarkers to colour the images, ribbon from my stash, sentiment is part of the digi stamp bundle. Buttons and embroidery thread are also from my stash and I've used plain card from my ever growing pile plus Spellbinder dies. I've added stickles around the edges for extra Easter bling!

From all accounts, both teachers were really pleased with the cards and they got displayed in the classroom!

Polkadoodle Challenge - Animals

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme for the fortnight is Animals

I've used the fab Paper Boutique Vol 3 and printed out all the relevant elements for Betsy the dog. I've layered her up with foam pads for extra definition and added wobbly eyes and glossy accents on the nose.

A great card to make and really easy plus you can add as many layers as you want (or don't!) For more details on the challenge, pop over to the blog and have a look at the rest of the DT creations!

Make A Fashion Statement

There is nothing worse than feeling rubbish. However sometimes this rubbish feeling could be self inflicted.

I mean, you'd be feeling dodgy if you caught sight of yourself wearing the fashion statement that Hangover Hannah from Dr Digi is sporting.

I've coloured this delight with Promarkers and used left over card from my cousins Wedding stationery. The fluffy stuff at the top is wool that I bought ages ago - it must have been cheap as I bought two balls of it. Handwritten sentiment.
