Pink, Fluffy and Felt Tips

Although I try not to, I do look out for new challenge blogs. I really shouldn't because its not like I have oodles of time on my hands, but sometimes the challenges set make me smile and I know what I want to make!

Anyway, I found this one - Crafty Downloads whilst visiting my Funky Hand DT mate Allison. So Allison, its all your fault! This is their first challenge and I had the option to download the cute Angelic Molli as the theme is:

Pink and Fluffy
I've used some backing paper that I found in my stash which I printed a while ago when, unknown to me, the colour ink was running out so the colours should not really be like this, but not one to throw things away, I knew I'd be able to reuse it! The paper is from Funky Daze and I've used it to cover a tall and thin card blank. I've lightly inked the edges in pink and have done the same with the image. I've layered the image onto some scrap pearlescent pink card.

The pink and fluffy ensemble is made up of a number of things! The large backing flower and very pretty embossed pink flower were sent to me by Jenny (I'd sent her some stamped images that she had admired on Kath's blog and Jenny sent me a lovely stash of stuff in return!) the fabric covered button I bought from PeggyCrafts and the fluffy stuff I've had in my stash for absolutely ages!

I've coloured Molli with my new felt tips, then worked over the top with watercolour pencils and finally added some highlights with a white gel pen. Her wings have had the glitter glue treatment because wings just need to be glittery!
There are some lovely images to purchase via the challenge blog so I'd say, go and have a look!
